Laundry Soap

Natural laundry soap is a gentle yet effective cleaning solution for your laundry needs, designed to be both environmentally friendly and safe for your family. This homemade concoction brings together three powerful ingredients: baking soda, washing soda, and Epsom salt, creating a laundry soap that not only cleans but also enhances the freshness of your clothes.

Ingredients:

- **Baking Soda**: Known for its deodorizing properties, baking soda helps to remove odors and stains from fabrics while softening the water, making it easier for detergent to work.

- **Washing Soda**: A very effective cleaning agent, washing soda (sodium carbonate) boosts the cleaning power of your laundry soap. It helps to break down tough stains and grime.

- **Epsom Salt**: This mineral salt acts as a natural fabric softener, helping to reduce static while leaving your clothes feeling soft.

Usage:

When it’s time to do laundry, simply measure out 1 tablespoon (2 TBSPS for Heavy Solid Load) for a full load and add it to your washing machine as you would with traditional detergent. This quantity will provide ample cleaning power for a standard load and is safe for both standard and high-efficiency machines.

Tip: Top Load washers, remove the dispenser tray to prevent clumping. If clumping does occur add a small amount of vinegar to dissolve.

If you choose to use essential oils for fragrance, add about 10-15 drops of your preferred oil to the dry mixture, and stir well to incorporate. Adjust the amount based on your scent preference.
